Commsec's incumbent workflow was inefficient and human dependant, the existing video player was small and the streaming quality poor. CommSec was considering be-spoke development of a new StockMarket Update webpage, however this would not have solved the workflow or streaming quality issues
Viocorp provided CommSec with Viostream Professional which includes a technology platform and an enhanced digital content strategy. Previously, CommSec was only able to publish Market Open, Midday and Market close video reports. The workflow automation allowed CommSec to increase their StockMarket Video Updates from 3 per day to 12 per day, 5-days a week.
Viostream provides CommSec with a technology platform that supports the rapid creation of new channels, so viewers can easily locate specific video content they produce, for example RBA Rate Decisions.
Previously the CommSec video tooks 8-seconds to load and then played in a small WMV player 176Wx144H pixels (about the size of a postage stamp). However CommSecTV now plays the video within 1-second in a large Flash player 640Wx360H pixels.
Following the implementation of Viostream, CommSec has improved operational efficiency, increased video publishing by 400% and now presents video streaming in-line with their brand.
