Viocorp wins AIMIA award for "Best Enterprise" with our product Viocast

The 16th Annual Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) awards were held on Friday, 5th March 2010. Ian Gardiner, Nick Bolton, Tim Chatfield and David Warwick represented Viocorp at the event and were honoured with the "Best Enterprise" award for our product Viocast.

Considered the industry's night of nights, the Annual AIMIA Awards, affectionately known as "the Amy's" are the longest running and most prestigious awards in Australia’s Interactive Media Industry. Showcasing the best in digital media in Australia and New Zealand, the Amy's represents a broad range of categories, including consumer, business, government and not-for-profit.

AMIA CEO, John Butterworth sumarised the event by saying "We're here tonight to recognise and celebrate the talent and efforts of those who are not only leaders in our market, but ever increasingly taking Australian digital know-how and can-do to the world".

Ian Gardiner, Viocorp CEO said of the win "We are absolutely thrilled to win this award. Normally AIMIA awards go to projects for clients. This win was unusual because it was awarded to a product. It recognised the strength, and indeed the commercial potential, of Viocast."

Marketing Mag Article - The Future of Television

The first installment in Viocorp's Future Forum series exceeded everyone's expectations. Attracting more than 400 registered viewers "The Future of Television" proved to be both fascinating and enlightening.

An article in Marketing Mag "Future Forum webcast - The Future of Television" stated "Not only did it go off without a hitch, it was more engaging than I could have hoped". Matty Soccio, a self-confessed webcast sceptic said "Viocorp's first Future Forum webcast was successful both in its engaging content and in the informative responses that were provided". 

Following this success, Viocorp has announced it's second Future Forum, "The Future of Sports Broadcasting", which will be held on Friday, 12 March 2010 at noon.The forum explores what sport will look like in 5 years and features the following expert panelists:

Viocorp announces The Future Forum Series

Viocorp is proud to announce a brand new new initiative - The Future Forum Series.

Since the company’s inception in 2002, Viocorp has been a passionate advocate for the advance of Australia’s digital economy – as we believe it holds attractive growth opportunities for our clients and for Australian business in general.  In 2010, Viocorp will broadcast online, a series of “Future Forums” which explore sectors being transformed by digital media technology.

Our next forum will be broadcasted live on Friday, 12 March 2010 at 12pm-Sydney/Melb, 11am-Brisbane, 11:30am-Adelaide, 9am-Perth. It will examine the topic: The Future of Sports Broadcasting: 'What will sport look like in five years?'.

Viocorp delivers the Australian Government's largest streaming event of 2009.

The Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy held their event for 400 delegates to discuss the National Broadband Network (NBN). Keynote speakers, included the Prime Minister Hon. Kevin Rudd, Minister for Broadband Senator Stephen Conroy, Chair of Government Web 2.0 Taskforce Dr Nick Gruen, and CEO of NBN Co. Mike Quigley. The Broadband Future Summit was a fantastic opportunity for Viocorp to showcase Viocast, our brand new video with synchronised slides webcasting solution. Austereo's "Hamish and Andy Show"

On Friday 4th December, Viocorp production team live streamed Austereo's top radio show "Hamish and Andy" from under the Harbour Bridge in Sydney. Over Eighty thousand fans got the opportunity to experience the event live on the Internet with live performances and all the usual antics.

Kate Ellis Webcast

On Thursday 12th November, Viocorp produced the National Conversation event for Minister Ellis, as part of the Australian Youth Forum roadshow. This event was streamed live from the Telstra Experience Center (TEC) Media Room, where 100 teenagers had gathered for an interactive event with the Minister for Youth. Thousands of other teenagers were watching this event live from their school via Viocorp’s live video streaming to classroom projectors and laptops. During the event, attendees at the TEC and online viewers were asked a series of questions and responded to live polls. This provided instant feedback on topics discussed by both the Minister and participants, allowing the conversation to be guided by the audience.

It's Hammer Time

Viocorp assisted Microsoft when MC Hammer took part in the first ever Live "Smooth Streamed" event in Australia.

At 1.30pm Sydney time, on Tuesday 10th November, MC Hammer was interviewed on MTV which was broadcast exclusively live on the web via Silverlight Smooth Streaming. Watch it on MTV.
