Viocorp can set you up to implement live webcasting yourself, though we would insist you inform us of every live cast so we can monitor and help.
The Process:
* Phone conversation to assess hardware, software and infrastructure at studio, and business objectives
* Viocorp provide specification of hardware, software and infrastructure needed for bullet-proof live webcasting
* Client purchases resources and install, with our help if needs be
* Testing and implementation
* Viocorp train your staff on live webcasting procedures
The technical process is as follows:
* content creation done via cameras. lighting, audio, vision switchers etc
* content conversion done via encoding facilities at source venue
* content distribution via dedicated broadband connection at your source venue
* content serving by our servers on Akamai (we give you a live publishing point)
* content publishing - you embed the url in your website
Viewrs simply go to your website and click here to watch the webcast.
They can interact via submitting questions, or via SMS
Recurring hosting and publishing
All live content can then be made available on-demand viewing which we would take you through in traning. A monthly fee would be chargeable for storage and bandwidth traffic (including all live streaming traffic)
You would take a licence of Viostream, our digital media platform which enables your staff to encode, package and deliver all audio and video content.
Costs:
- Consultancy and implementation $5k approximately, excludes all hardware, software and infrastructure costs
- Recurring costs for hosting and bandwidth starts at $100 per month moving upwards depending on traffic
- Optional Viostream licence (includes above recurring hosting and bandwidth)
$2,500 set up and training fixed fee
